We are seeking an individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and with others. This position is responsible for managing the daily financial operations of our business, including invoicing, payment tracking, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable Duties
- Process and post payments from Net 30 customers (check, ACH, credit card, and cash).
- Generate, email invoices and monthly account statements.
- Track aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Apply deposits and reconcile unapplied payments.
- Handle walk-in transactions and ensure proper daily cash reconciliation.
Accounts Payable Duties
- Enter and match vendor invoices to purchase orders.
- Process payments via check, ACH, and credit card.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and verify pricing/terms.
- Track early payment discounts and due dates.
- Reconcile vendor statements monthly.
General Accounting Duties
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash deposit tracking.
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and closing entries.
- Coordinate with sales and warehouse teams to verify inventory and cost data.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or higher preferred
- 2+ years of experience in general accounting, preferably in retail, distribution, or manufacturing
- Strong understanding of cash, accrual, and Net 30 customer invoicing workflows
- High attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Shift workload seamlessly to assist colleagues with complex questions.
- Proficient with accounting software (experience with Odoo, QuickBooks, or similar a plus)
